And Jesus charged them to tell no one. But the more he charged them, the more zealously they proclaimed it.
Spiritual warfare against Jesus is evident in this verse. The enemy was drowning out Jesus' message by highlighting His miracles. Contextually, this portion of Mark's Gospel shows Jesus bringing His message of salvation.
