One guide. Every cohort. Published February 2026.
The Discipled Warriors Handbook provides a common study guide, so that every cohort in every church is working the same ground.
Most men’s studies fail on structure, not material.
A group of men with good intentions and no shared material drifts. One week is a video, the next is a discussion about the news, and within two months the meeting has quietly stopped being scheduled.
The Handbook removes that failure mode. Every cohort has the same lessons in the same order, and every man knows what is coming and what is expected of him when his turn arrives.
Discipleship Training participants are also given the documents they need to present each weekly topic, so leading a lesson never means building one from nothing.
Four decisions behind the Handbook.
A common foundation
Every cohort works from the same guide, so a man who moves churches, or a church that runs several cohorts at once, is never starting from a different place.
Written to be led, not just read
Each lesson assumes an ordinary man will stand up and take his brothers through it. The structure carries him, so he does not have to invent a teaching plan.
Anchored in Scripture
The lessons work from the biblical text rather than from commentary about it. Men consistently report that this is what made the teaching land.
Built for a cohort
The material expects ten men or fewer in a room who will meet again next week, which is why it can ask harder questions than a book read alone ever could.
What ministry leaders say about it.
“There are times when you know that God is working through someone. Discipled Warriors is a ministry that God has called Ray Dillman to lead. I have seen the difference it has made in other men as well as myself. The Discipled Warriors Handbook captures the ministry by providing lessons that encourage men to connect with one another for friendship, accountability, encouragement, and challenge. I have personally seen this happen for the men who have gone through Discipled Warriors training. I would encourage any man to go through the study, especially if you don't want to. I challenge you to invest the time to work through the lessons offered in the Discipled Warriors Handbook, with a group of men or by yourself, and see what God can do for you, your marriage, and your family.”

Senior Pastor, Woodland Hills Baptist Church
“In a world where men are often left to, or worse, believe that they must figure things out on their own, Dr. Ray Dillman's Discipled Warriors Handbook seeks to bring guidance and camaraderie in every facet of life. Having known and worked with Ray, I have personally seen his commitment to Jesus Christ, his family, and his passion for equipping men. He understands that men need not only a heart for God but also the tools to pursue Him.”
“Grounded in the inspiration and authority of Scripture, Dr. Dillman provides an insightful understanding of God and His design for men. Comprehensive in nature, Discipled Warriors Handbook also addresses many critical areas that men need to address with courageous vulnerability, doing so in a challenging yet highly relatable way. This kind of handbook is needed and would be highly effective for those who are serious about becoming the husbands, fathers, and servant leaders that God is calling them to be.”

Getting a copy
Cohorts are supplied with the Handbook as part of the program. Anyone else can buy a copy directly.
ORDER FOR A CHURCHWhat comes with it.
The Handbook does not arrive alone. Cohorts are given what they need to run each week without building it themselves.
Companion materials
Discipleship Training participants are provided the documents they need to present each weekly topic, so leading a lesson never means building one from nothing.
Group discussion guides
Each lesson carries the questions that drive the cohort's discussion, structured so the man leading can keep it on the text and moving.

About the Handbook.
- What is the Discipled Warriors Handbook?
The Handbook, published in February 2026, is the common study guide used by every Discipled Warriors cohort. It gives all cohorts a shared foundation so that men in different churches are working through the same material.
- Do I need to be a Bible teacher to lead a lesson from it?
No. Each lesson is written so that a man who is not a trained teacher can prepare it and lead his cohort through it. Discipleship Training participants are also provided the documents they need to present each weekly topic.
- Can we use the Handbook without running the full program?
Yes. While the Handbook is designed to be worked through by a cohort, a men's group study can benefit from using it as a resource. The full benefits of the Handbook's Lessons are realized by formed cohorts who experience a Cohort Kickoff training session together and are given a goal to work through together.
- Can the Handbook be used as an individual study resource?
Yes. Again, the Handbook is designed as a training manual that builds a fully functional cohort over a six-month period; however, many individuals have gone through the Handbook's lessons and reported learning concepts that enable them to battle spiritual warfare effectively.
